A Lone Battle

In this widespread world with endless labours and blessings, we are pushed to fight some battles regularly in our life, whether we like it or not. I'm not talking about the battle that involves arms and armour, but rather the one that needs our mind, heart and willpower, and challenges ourselves in our day-to-day life. Even though we yearn for a never-ending peaceful life, we fight physical as well as mental battles.

As the battle is on everyone without exception, we can fight and overcome some by joining our hands together as kith and kin. Sometimes we have to take up the sword ourselves to fight our battle. There will be some moments in our life, where our strength and courage only will help us, despite all the aid we get from others. Some battles are on us completely.

Sometimes we are forced to accept the reality that not every battle can be fought together. We don’t know when we lose all our support and have to fight alone. One moment we have all around us; after the blink of an eye, we are left alone in our life; the next moment we have someone near us. The support system is like waves - constant inconsistency of ups and downs. Whatever the case, at any moment in our lives, we are supposed to fight alone.

Life is a path with unexpected twists and turns, and so change encounters us anytime without any alarm or raised banners. Sometimes, we are in a battle, alone, with little experience and little aid, even before we realise it. It is like we are doing a monoact, without any prepared script. All we can do is act on the spot. We ought to decide the things we have to do, believing the divine power and our instinct will help us. Though we don’t know the result, we must act, to change the course of events, our destiny. Remember, life is not always a play with many people, sometimes it is a mono act too, to test our strength, to help us to know ourselves.
